Can I use any Anti Spyware Software?

The simple answer to this is yes you can use any software that is compatible with your computer. There are a number of things that you should be aware of however.

•  Not all anti Spyware software on the Internet is actually anti Spyware software. Some software that offers to fix Spyware problems for free can actually damage your computer. There is a great deal of "free" software on the net but some of it will actually install Spyware and Malware on your computer or detect problems which are not there and force you to upgrade to a premium product to fix them.

•  Most anti Spyware software will give you a free scan but you will need to pay to fix the problems.

•  Some anti Spyware software will not be able to detect all the types of Spyware as people are always inventing new types so you need to be sure to get software that is up-to-date.

Ok so now we know a little bit more about the minefield that is anti Spyware software, lets look at some legitimate anti Spyware solutions. The first of which is Adware Alert. This is the anti Spyware software that we personally recommend. The reason we recommend Adware Alert is that it not only scans for Spyware and Malware (the free part). It also removes the Spyware and fixes the damage the Spyware has done. Adware Alert is one of only a few anti Spyware programs to not just get rid of Spyware but clean up after it as well.
